Tadeusz Koczanowicz

Holds a BA in sociology from the University of Warsaw which he received for a thesis about the category of the aesthetics of existence in Michel Foucault’s thought. He also holds an MA in Sociology and Social Anthropology for a thesis about the significance of Edward Abramowski in Polish culture and an MA in Cultural Studies for a thesis on the dialectic of enlightenment in the didactic plays of Bertolt Brecht. From 2015 he was a PhD student at the Institute of Polish Culture at the University of Warsaw. During this time he spent the academic year 2016-2017 on an Erasmus scholarship at the Free University in Berlin. Tadeusz has written journalistic and academic texts about culture and politics for publications including Res Publica Nowa, where he was an editor for theater between 2015 and 2018. Since 2019 he has been a PhD student at the University of Zurich and a member of the Crisis and Communitas SNSF project.
