I am an advanced Bachelor’s student of English Literature/Linguistics and Comparative Linguistics at the University of Zurich, currently working as a student assistant on Cristiana Lucchetti’s research project “Language prestige in Switzerland. A case study on the Swiss post-Yugoslav diaspora”.
One of the aspects I value most about linguistics is its diversity, which is reflected in my broad range of research interests across areas, ranging from psycholinguistics to sociolinguistics. This variety allows me to approach linguistic questions from multiple perspectives. My key research interests encompass language acquisition and neurolinguistics, focusing on the relationship between language and cognition across the lifespan. I am also strongly interested in sociolinguistics, particularly in how language intersects with identity and social perception. In addition, the ways in which the language practices of marginalized communities are represented and perceived across different social contexts, and how these perceptions are shaped by broader social attitudes, also form a central part of my research interests.
